1. Who this notice covers
This notice explains how FCT Forensic Limited (“FCT”, “we”) handles information in connection with this website, www.fctforensic.com. It covers visitors to the website only. Information handled inside a client engagement is governed by the engagement letter and the confidentiality terms agreed for that matter.
Questions about this notice can be sent to FCT Forensic Limited at info@fctforensic.com or +254 700 86 86 46, Nairobi, Kenya.
2. This website has no database
The website does not run an account system, a contact database or a server-side form handler. There is nowhere on this website for your information to be stored by us.
3. Diagnostic tools and local storage
The diagnostic tools on the AI Solutions page — the Compliance Risk Assessment, AML Readiness Checker, Fraud Vulnerability Scanner, Regulatory Change Monitor and Investigation Scope & Effort Calculator — calculate everything in your browser.
Your answers and progress are written to your browser’s local storage so that you can leave and return without starting again. That data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to FCT Forensic Limited, and we cannot see it. Every tool has a Reset control that deletes its stored answers, and clearing your browser data removes them as well.
The same applies to the recommendation feature: the topic categories you have viewed are counted locally to order suggested reading, and can be cleared with the Reset my recommendations button.
4. Forms create an email, they do not submit data
The consultation form and the FCT Advisor do not send anything on their own. When you complete them, your browser prepares a draft email addressed to info@fctforensic.com, pre-filled with what you entered, and opens it in your own mail application.
Nothing reaches FCT unless you press send in that application. At that point the information becomes an ordinary email to us and is handled as described below. In the FCT Advisor, your name, email and organisation are only added to the draft if you tick the consent box and supply them.
5. What we do with enquiries you send
When you email, call or message us, we use that information to:
- respond to your enquiry and assess whether we can assist
- carry out our own conflict and acceptance checks before taking on work
- keep a record of the enquiry for professional, regulatory and insurance purposes
6. Confidentiality of enquiries
Enquiries about suspected fraud, misconduct or regulatory exposure are treated as confidential. We ask that you do not send evidence, personal data about third parties, or documents belonging to your organisation in a first email; we will agree on a secure channel with you first.
7. Analytics, cookies and trackers
Analytics are off by default. This website does not set advertising cookies, does not run third-party tracking pixels, and does not build visitor profiles. The only browser storage used is the local storage described in section 3, which exists solely to hold your own tool progress on your own device.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and choosing an external link (for example WhatsApp) takes you to a third party with its own privacy practices.
8. Retention
Local storage on your device persists until you reset a tool or clear your browser data. Emails and enquiry records held by FCT are retained only as long as needed for the purposes in section 5 and for the periods required by professional and legal obligations.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you are, you may have rights to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, or to object to particular uses. Write to info@fctforensic.com and we will respond.
For information you have only entered into this website and never emailed to us, there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete — use the tool’s Reset control instead.
10. Changes to this notice
We update this notice when the website changes. The date below reflects the most recent update. This notice is written in plain language to describe how the website actually behaves; it is a description of our practices, not a legal opinion, and it has not been prepared as a substitute for advice on your own obligations.
